SMX (Security Matters) PLC (NASDAQ: SMX) is trading sharply lower Monday morning, giving back part of Friday's surge as investors reassessed the company's expanded capital framework.

SMX (Security Matters) said on Friday that it has extended its capital runway into 2028.

The company said the conversion provides a clearer path for executing its technology roadmap without the constraints of prior financing instruments.

Some retail traders expect SMX (Security Matters) share price to surge back up to $490 levels.

SMX announced on Wednesday the addition of latex and rubber glove tracing to its platform.
